The SAINTS Emerged Victorious! The New Orleans Saints are the winners of Super Bowl XLIV Feb 7, 2010. Drew Brees lead the Saints to this 31-17 victory while coming from behind to defeat the Indianapolis Colts. While the Colts Peyton Manning had a very impressive game, it was not enough against the determined New Orleans Saints. – Party On Bourbon Street.

Critical events of the game was a surprise onside kick sparked the Saints’ second-half comeback. Their 25th-ranked defense made several key stops, and Tracy Porter’s 74-yard interception return on a pass from Manning clinched it. Might as well have called it the game after this interception.

The Vince Lombardi trophy goes to the New Orleans Saints owner Tom Benson. Benson says this win means that New Orleans and the Saints Are Back!

Tonights MVP trophy award goes to QB Drew Brees who said “We knew that we had an entire city and maybe an entire country behind us” “Mardi gras may never end — the celebration’s not gonna end.”

Reports say New York Giants wide receiver Plaxico Burress has been accidentally shot in the leg at a nightclub.

ESPN.com and Fox Sports.com said Saturday the wound was not life threatening. It was not clear at what club the shooting took place. The Fox Web site said Burress spent the night in the hospital.

The Giants would not confirm the accident to The Associated Press. Phones calls to Burress’ home and agent were not immediately returned.

Burress injured a hamstring two weeks ago against the Baltimore Ravens. The Giants said Friday he would not play Sunday against the Redskins in Washington.

Ben Roethlisberger had a hell of a game against the Jacksonville Jaquars throwing for a whopping 309 yards and three touchdowns. The Steelers offensive game was lacking at best but thanks to Ben things worked out of the best with a victory of 26-21 over the Jaquars. Pittsburgh outgained Jacksonville 300 yards to 49 yards in the first half and had 17 more first downs.
